Hannah + Sean

#&FLREALBRIDE FEATURE

THE OCEANS

Set in the beautiful and lush islands of Hawaii, Hannah and Sean were married by the Pacific Ocean. The couple exchanged vows with only close family and friends, opting for an intimate elopement . Behind them, a stunning backdrop of palm trees, green grass and rolling hills.

Hannah chose our silk OCEANS gown and ordered directly from us, and paired it with a classic mantilla veil and wore her hair long and loose, with bare feet. Both the bride and groom wore traditional Hawaiian wedding lei’s, and their looks set the vibe of quiet luxury, laid back 70’s elegance, and a truly effortless and romantic mood.

Describe you and your guy? How did you meet? Tell us your love story! Sean is super easy going, always on Hawaii time, and I usually do the stressing for the both of us! We met in Western Australia 8 years ago.

How did you know he was The One? When Sean bought home his Australian Kelpie puppy, my dream dog, seeing the way he looked after him melted me, I think I have known since then.

Describe yourself. What do you do? What is your regular street style?

We live on the coast and dress casually most of the time, it was hard to get Sean in a pair of shoes for the ceremony!  Sean is a builder and very busy with his own business, and I am a sonographer in a Hospital. We have a 18month old daughter Goldie who is the main attraction in our lives.

What was bridal style vision? Laid back yet I love the 70s bridal vibe, I went with the long sleeve dress and the classic mantilla veil which was actually very hard to find!

What made you fall in love with your &FL dress and where did you find it? I tried the Ada on at a trunk show, I fell in love but wedding plans were very much on hold due to covid. When the OCEANS was released I knew it was Hawaii perfect and true to my style so purchased online directly from the designer.

Describe your wedding- any inspiration or themes you were drawn to when planning? What was the vibe? We wanted to be comfortable and stress free on the day, relaxed coastal vibes with some classic romance. We decided with our busy lives a quick elopement was the way to go! We got married in the spot Sean grew up surfing it holds a very special place in our hearts. Our photographers were amazing and shot lots of film pictures for us which was exactly what we were after.

Fave thing about your day? Any surprises?! How relaxed it was, we got to spend most of the day together! There was an amazing night rainbow over the valley which we have never seen before, very magical.

What does marriage mean to you? To us, marriage really means forever, through it all . Growing old together (we already are!) and trusting each other more than anything, I would trust Sean with my life, he has the most amazing morals and values he makes me a better person everyday.

What's the one piece of advice you could give to brides?  Don’t create to much stress for yourself on the day, either keep it simple our outsource! You want to enjoy the day .

Life post-wedding means .... Back in Western Australia with our Toddler Goldie and fur baby Jarrah, another baby on the way will keep us busy!
