Chloe + William

#&FLREALBRIDE FEATURE

THE AULDYN

Inspired by a relaxed, laid back and effortless vibe, Chloe and Billy’s wedding felt like a natural extension of their relationship. The two were great friends before falling in love, and Chloe’s styling - from the perfectly “messy but done” ponytail, to the bright and colourful florals, and the chic black mismatched bride gowns, showed us that there is no better look for your wedding than being your natural and beautiful self.

Chloe chose our beautiful Auldyn linen gown from SoHo Bride in Geelong, VIC.

Describe you and your guy? How did you meet? Tell us your love story!

My partner and I are very down to earth, easy going people. We met at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in 2016. Billy was going for Australian Apprentice of the year and was recommended to attend and my mum was a part of Rotary.

We met after an obstacle course, I sat down next to him and we got along instantly. Later we kicked the footy, Billy liked that I could kick and I got a bright red foot because I was barefoot aha. We were just friends on the camp but once we left, the messaging didn’t stop and we fell in love and moved in together a few months later. I think we worked so well because we were great friends first.

How did you know he was The One?

It was very easy with him. I don’t think there was ever a singular moment, it just happened without even trying.

Describe yourself. What do you do? What is your regular street style?
I’m  a registered Nurse in surgical. I love lounge wear and active wear for my day to day.

What was bridal style vision?

My vision was for an effortless look. I wanted something comfortable but also looked flattering.

What made you fall in love with your &FL dress and where did you find it?

I found my gown at SoHo Bride in Geelong. I was trying on a specific style and didn’t ‘love’ any of them. I tried on the AULDYN Gown for something different and fun and myself, my mother and best friend all just fell in love.

Describe your wedding- any inspiration or themes you were drawn to when planning? What was the vibe?

I wanted black and white for the bridal party with bold colourful flowers, this was also the theme of the reception- colorful flowers all down the tables. Our wedding was perfect. The weather was 26, there was no wind. Our vibe was relaxed, fun. Lots of bold coloured guest dresses. The band was amazing and the food and drinks were flowing.

Fave thing about your day? Any surprises?!

There was too many… I loved getting ready in the morning with my girls, our speeches, our dancefloor and our golden hour photos. We also loved our last song for the night- up on friends shoulders, we were dancing and celebrating with everyone.

What does marriage mean to you?
Marriage is committing to a life with someone. Trusting in a person, that you’ll be there for each other.

What's the one piece of advice you could give to brides?

I highly recommend getting video footage of your day. It is so worth the cost. Your wedding is over so fast and you just want to re live it. You’ll only regret it if you don’t. I also recommend organising as much as you can before the week of the wedding, things can come up that week and stress can quickly come into play, the less things on your plate that week the better. My mother and I went to The Lon, in point Lonsdale for a massage on the Monday before the wedding and it was amazing and so worth it. Just what the doctor ordered.

Also try not to stress too much, your vendors know what they’re doing, everything works out and everyone has your best interest in mind.

Life post-wedding means ....

No more wedding planning stress..

Enjoying the next chapter, creating more memories.
